Discover the Silent City: The Prohibition Era

December 5 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free, must be registered

Join AARP-Wi and The La Crosse Historical Society on Thursday, Dec. 5, 6-8 pm for “Discover the Silent City: The Prohibition Era” at the Pump House, 119 King St.! The event features dramatic reenactments inspired by local events. We’ll visit a few bootleggers looking to hide their hooch, but watch out for the U.S. Marshal and that lady from the Temperance Movement. Once the taverns re-open, it’ll be the bee’s knees, despite the “lousy service”! Check-in opens at 6 pm, the theater opens at 6:30 pm, the performance begins at 7 pm.
Each registered guest will also receive one complimentary beverage ticket.
