The Aging & Disability Resource Center of La Crosse County, La Crosse Parks & Recreation Department and Dementia Friendly Community Coalition are excited to announce we will be bringing two live theatrical performances from the Remember Project to the area this Fall.
The plays are free of charge to the community with the intent of promoting awareness, providing education regarding memory loss and dementia and creating conversation to improve services, support and understanding.
Fortune Cookies:
At age 80, Mona’s memory is sharp, but she fears the idea of memory loss as she’s
seen much of it among friends and neighbors. She has a great idea and is determined
to be the first to know if her recall is slipping beyond what is considered normal, age-related memory loss. This play begins dialogue about future planning, the stigma of
dementia and uncertainties of family caregiving.
