Founded in 1949, the La Crescent Apple Festival was created to promote La Crescent and its apple industry, and “putting La Crescent on the map”. The first planning session happened with little time to spare, but the first Apple Festival drew a crowd of nearly 20,000 people. Since then, the festival has continued to grow in size and quality with each passing year. Apple Festival Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to building and enriching the community.
