Do you like walking? Meeting new people? Talking about books? Try out the Winona Public Library’s Roaming Readers! Every Monday beginning June 7th at 5:30 PM, meet library staff at a different trail or walking path throughout the Winona Area and talk about the book(s) you are reading, your favorite books, or score some new recommendations to add to your TBR (To Be Read) pile. Each walk is estimated to be 30-45 minutes long. The schedule of trails/paths is listed below:
June 21: Prairie Island Nature Trail in Winona
June 28: Kiep’s Island at the Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge
July 12: Sugar Loaf Bluff Trail in Winona
July 19: River Bottom Road at the Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge
July 26: Garvin Heights Park in Winona
August 2: LaCanne Park Trail in Goodview (meet at the LaCanne Beach Parking Lot)
August 9: Flyway Trail off of Latsch Island in Winona (meet at the Beaching Parking Lot)
August 16: Levee Park at Main Street in Winona
August 23: Woodlawn Cemetery Entrance in Winona
(Each location will meet at the trailhead except for Levee Park which is at Main Street and Woodlawn which is at the entrance.)
