Big Bikes for Little Tikes Rides for Dallas on May 17

ONALASKA, Wis. — Motorcycle riders will hit the road on Saturday, May 17, for the annual Big Bikes for Little Tikes event, raising funds to grant a wish for Dallas, a 15-year-old Hillsboro teen battling a rare medical condition. The 100-mile ride through the Coulee Region kicks off from Great River Harley-Davidson, all to make Dallas’ dream of seeing the Dallas Cowboys play a reality.

Dallas was diagnosed at birth with osteogenesis imperfecta type 4, commonly known as brittle bone disease, after suffering multiple fractures. He also lives with a COL1A2 gene mutation, macrocephaly, scoliosis, short stature, and a history of restrictive lung disease. Despite these challenges, Dallas remains a passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys. His wish is to travel to Texas this fall to cheer the Cowboys as they face off against the Green Bay Packers.

The event, organized by 95.7 The Rock’s Rock Foundation, begins with check-in at 9:30 a.m. at Great River Harley-Davidson, 1116 Oak Forest Drive, Onalaska. Riders will take off around 11 a.m., taking the winding roads of the Coulee Region ending at the Time Out Tavern in La Crescent. Registration is $25 and includes a Big Bikes for Little Tikes T-shirt , a brat and chips meal at the post-ride party, and a chance to win door prizes. The first 250 riders to check in will also get a free kick plate, courtesy of Heyer Heating and Air Conditioning.

“We’re riding for Dallas this year because he is an inspiration for all of us!” said Jean Taylor, co-host of Rock Mornings on 95.7 The Rock and a lead organizer. “This event is about community, fun, and giving a local kid a memory he’ll never forget.”

For those who can’t join the ride, a “Donate” option is available on this page with proceeds supporting Dallas and his family, helping cover travel costs for his Texas adventure.

Big Bikes for Little Tikes is powered by a coalition of community partners, including Schneider Accounting and Tax, Interstate Roofing, Luke’s Repairs LLC Rollingstone, Northern Engraving, Seland’s Karpetland, Rudy’s, Ace of all Trades, Bubba’s Meats, The Grind Coffee Shop, One Shot Concrete, April Carrier Farmers Insurance, Reedy Concrete, First American Roofing, SMA Insurance and Robin’s Nest, and La Crosse Movers. Great River Harley-Davidson serves as the event’s starting point and key sponsor.

Held annually, the ride has become a Coulee Region tradition, blending the roar of motorcycles with heartfelt generosity. To register or donate, visit tickets.aroundrivercity.com/events/big-bikes-for-little-tikes-2025-5-17-2025.
