Ichiddo Ramen La Crosse Opens Downtown | Around River City

Ichiddo Ramen La Crosse is officially open in downtown La Crosse, bringing a fresh bowl of excitement to one of the city’s most familiar addresses. The Minnesota-based chain has taken over the former Fayze’s Restaurant and Bakery space, giving the longtime landmark a brand-new flavor, literally. This downtown spot is now home to steaming bowls of traditional Japanese ramen, customizable with more than 15 topping options.

If you’re familiar with the growing franchise, you already know what to expect: rich broths, springy noodles, tender pork, fresh greens and a soft-boiled egg that practically melts into the bowl. For first-timers, Ichiddo Ramen La Crosse offers an easy, approachable way to explore real Japanese-style ramen without leaving downtown.

This new location marks Ichiddo’s second restaurant in Wisconsin, joining its Prescott shop in expanding the brand’s Midwestern footprint. General Manager Michael Lee said the team is thrilled to put down roots here, adding that they “love the community” and hope La Crosse diners will enjoy the full experience of traditional ramen.

The opening also brings new life to a building with deep local history. Fayze’s served La Crosse for decades, and its former home sat empty until earlier this year.

With its grand opening now complete, Ichiddo Ramen La Crosse adds something new, warm and seriously slurp-worthy to the city’s dining scene.
