LA CROSSE, Wis. — The Johnsmith Pump House concert returns to the Pump House Regional Arts Center for two performances on Friday, Jan. 9, and Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026. Both shows begin at 7:30 p.m. and promise an intimate evening of songwriting, storytelling, and collaborative musicianship.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the theater opens at 7 p.m.

Johnsmith has spent more than 40 years touring across the United States and abroad. During that time, he built a devoted following in the folk and Americana music communities. A Kerrville New Folk winner, he has released nine solo albums and continues to write songs rooted in lived experience, humor, and heart.

For this Johnsmith Pump House concert, he welcomes longtime collaborators Dan Sebranek and Larry Dalton to the stage. He also performs alongside his daughter, Elisi Rae Smith-Waller. Together, the group brings strong harmonies, musical familiarity, and a shared sense of joy that defines their performances.

In addition to music, Johnsmith connects with audiences through stories drawn from his life on the road. He teaches songwriting, leads music-focused tours in Ireland, and hosts outdoor adventures, including whitewater rafting trips in Idaho. As a result, each performance feels personal and grounded rather than rehearsed or distant.

Tickets cost $30 for the general public and $25 for Pump House members. Student and military tickets are available for $15 and must be purchased by calling the Pump House at 608-785-1434 or stopping in person. Director-level members ($125) and above qualify for reserved seating and should call ahead to reserve seats.

The Pump House Regional Arts Center is located at 119 King St. in La Crosse. For tickets and full event details, visit pumphouse.org or call 608-785-1434. Additional information about the artist is available at johnsmithmusic.com.
