La Crosse Open Returns for 24th Year of Logrolling Competition

LA CROSSE, Wis. — The 24th Annual La Crosse Open Log Rolling Tournament takes place Saturday, June 21, at Pettibone Lagoon. The event, organized by Coulee Region Logrolling, features both professional and amateur athletes competing in a series of matches determined by the best three out of five falls.

The Open is a level 2 tournement sanctioned by the U.S. Log Rolling Association (USLRA), attracting top-tier competitors from across the country. Professional matches will be held on spike logs, while amateur matches will use carpeted logs. Additionally, All participants are required to have a current USLRA membership and adhere to the organization’s rules and regulations.

Coulee Region Logrolling, established in 2017, works to promote the sport within the La Crosse area. The organization offers programs for participants as young as four years old and hosts various events throughout the year, including the Holmen Summer Splash and the Jingle Bell Open.

The La Crosse Open is free to attend and open to the public. Bring lawn chairs and enjoy a day of competitive logrolling along the scenic Mississippi River. Matches are scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. and continue throughout the day.

Finally, Coulee Region Logrolling supports rollers from beginners to the pros in the La Crosse, WI area. Each program’s experienced coaches are dedicated to providing a fun and safe environment with great instruction and fun! Classes and events take place in La Crosse, Onalaska, Holmen, and La Crescent for all ages and experience levels.
