Sparta’s 1st annual Idiotarod!
What’s an Idiotarod? It’s a two person shopping cart race with teams dressing up in costumes and racing from point A (Beer Shop) to point B (Sparta Soda Works) with a break in the middle to switch positions and slam a beverage. Once the race is complete, we will hand out awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and best dressed. Then the carts will be lined up in front of SSW to accept food donations (see list below) for the Sparta Backpack Program! Live music by the Windy Kilts and shenanigans will follow! If you didn’t have enough fun at that point, join us back at Beer Shop for another live set from the Kilts and a Tap Takeover with Gravity Box from Mauston.
The day will look like this:
REGRISTRATION | 11AM-2PM (Beer Shop)
RACE STARTS | 3PM (Ben Bikin Park)
AWARDS AND FOOD DRIVE | 3:30PM (SSW)
AFTER PARTY AND LIVE MUSIC | 4PM-7PM (SSW)
AFTER AFTER PARTY/TAP TAKEOVER/LIVE MUSIC | 8PM-11PM (Beer Shop)
The cost to participate is $20 per team (must be 21+ to participate) which will go towards the Sparta Backpack Program
